May 2nd 2006 - First day at work in a real job.
I am so grateful to God for my first job (Performa International), the people, the experiences and the guts that Roshan (Head of Operations) & Dushyant (HR) took to hire me.
It was a job that brought me to what I love and do today. It was a job that taught - People matter. And that life is about : Reaching out & Impacting lives.
I learnt 'passion' is more valuable than being only professional. Saw and learnt great examples of pro-facilitation from Pre & Sudave (CEO & MD, Performa International, Singapore).
And last week, I got to meet Pre out of the blue. He was visiting India... and I hadn't seen him in over 5 years! Pre is a man I highly admire and respect. My first lessons in L&D came from watching Pre deliver sessions and his interactions with us.
I was in a state of shock. Caught in the surprise, I slapped myself twice.
It was great to connect with him again! So grateful for my beginnings.
